This high-quality distillation apparatus features a stainless steel boiling chamber with a 7 gallon capacity. A screen basket stand suspends the plant material above the water level. Steam is generated internally with a 110v electric element that completely eliminates the danger of an external heat source. The water-cooled condenser unit is made of copper, and all tubing and connectors are included. During our evaluation we were esaily able to extract a little over one ounce of high purity essential oil from 2 pounds of fresh lavender (English and French mix) in about 1 1/2 hours.
